Art Director, Graphic Designer, Illustrator

About

My name is Alyssa…

…and I am a geek. There, now that it’s out in the open it shouldn’t come as any surprise to you.

I am an Ohio-native living in Los Angeles. I have a degree in Advertising & Graphic Design from Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) with a minor in copywriting and an emphasis in illustration.

Most recently I was a Senior Design Team Lead at Blizzard where I managed and art directed an amazing team to create the marketing assets for the Overwatch franchise, Overwatch League, and Call of Duty League. Our work includes social media campaigns, retail and first-party design for both digital and print, and branding and identity design.

I was formerly a Design Team Lead in the Marketing Creative Department at Activision where I helped to launch Spyro, Crash Team Racing, Crash 4, Sekiro, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2, and Call of Duty Mobile. My team also handled all of Activision and Activision Blizzard’s internal design needs from posters and email templates to branding for major campaigns such as Fortune’s 100 Best Places to Work and the company All Hands meeting presentations. I was also the Co-Chair of the global Veteran’s & Friends Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Employee Network and still take an active role as a champion for diversity in both my department and the company as a whole.

I love to grow my skillset so in my spare time I practice digital illustration, build props and take the occasional concept art course. My previous freelance work involved designing concept art books for Design Studio Press, pitch decks for television and movies, and the occasional logos/collateral for other clients.

In my spare time, I am a Big Sister in the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Los Angeles program where my Little and I have been matched for 8 years! When I’m not working I am usually hiding my dog Gracie’s favorite pink pig toy, keeping my cat Kylo from attacking the shower curtain, playing obscene amounts of Disney Dreamlight Valley and Overwatch, building Star Wars props, or marathoning true crime or sci-fi television shows. My dreams for the distant future are to own a holodeck, be the voice of a Disney princess and possibly become bionic.
